Gus and all his greatness!

Gus is FINALLY old enough to play tackle football.  I wasn't thrilled about the idea.  As you can imagine though, I am a very typical "football mom", as I have been accused of at just about every game. Ok, at every game.  Chad at times won't sit by me.  I have a voice.  A loud one.  I use it.  Enough said.
He really is loving it.  I don't think he is as aggressive as he could be, but he just jumps on the tackle after it has taken place and feels like he is all in it.  Cracks me up!
As of right now they are 5-0......UNDEFEATED!! Which means I can plan on more games because there are semi-finals, and then finals.  Get my thermals out for sure.

I am proud of you Gus also because you made sure and got your Wolf in cubscouts along with a ridiculous amount of things they expect me to sew on your uniform and add to your beltloop.  That cubscouts is important to you, and that you enjoy being a part of it.  You were also the very first choice for Principals Pride at school.  You read as fluently as the top 3% of the 6th grade, being a 3rd grader that is awesome. I love that every night when Daddy isn't home you automatically "can't sleep" and have to snuggle in with me until Daddy takes you back to bed when he gets home.  I love that a few weeks ago you said to me, "Mom, I LOVE YOU!"  to which I replied, "NO way, because I LOVE YOU more!!!"  and you answered me by saying, "Mom, there is NO WAY you could ever understand just how much I LOVE YOU!"  it brought me to tears, and I thought No Buddy, you will never understand until you have a son of your own just how much I truly love you!!

way to go Gus!! football just gets funner and funner and I know that funner is not a word but it works. Kobe says the harder you hit the less it hurts, never slow down on a hit run fast keep your head up and learn how to use your pads they are not just there for protection put your shoulder into a kids chest every time and wrap up. There a little Horton lesson to our Gus!
